Article Analysis

In the article the target audience will be mostly aimed at older people as adults and fans of the former band led zeppelin and people more into his more country yet rock set also soft American style which again is a big appeal to the older generations who would have looked up to Robert plant as child in led zeppelin.

In the article the magazines uses text that is also related to the older generations by saying what he said when he was younger he used to steal milk from doorsteps which is like recollection for the older generation because you don’t do that now but they might have done that when they were younger. The writing is very much so Standard English it is all in a very formal way but it speaks in past tense a lot and speaking in not so much an academic way.

In this particular article the reader is related to be like an informed fan because it talks about his past of being in led zeppelin and it talks about loads of former songs of his with the band and relates them to the songs on his current album and abut his duets on the album.

The font in the article is very plain and is very small about the size of 12 in what looks like times new roman with a few acceptations like the break up of writing in the middle of the article. Yes the font is the same size and font type as the other pages in the magazine with song names all wrote in italics. The interview is laid out in a 3 column spread with an entry in the middle of the columns, with the text going down and continuing in the next Colum.

The texts takes up one page and the image also takes up one page it is all laid out in a specific way going down and there is also another page with an image of Robert plant and a get to know him better page which is for the people who don’t know as much about Robert plant.

In the image Robert plant is playing a harmonica and is very into this playing and we can this showing he is in to music and that he is very passionate about it and that he is more for the older people with a hairstyle that was more popular in the 70s and a very hippie type clothed image. And the comment shows he is really into his music and it’s a beautiful thing to see.

The article relates the front cover quite well to match the olden theme of the article for the older fans who were moiré into led zeppelin and how that the band member rejected at return tour to focus on his solo work about how he is now independent.

Yes because it is mainly aimed at form led zeppelin fans and people who had knew him before but there is also a page to get to know him so you find out abut him and then you can related to the image and the article on the other side which is a good feature appealing to more target audiences who are reading the magazine.
