Bauer is a company that publishes many different media magazines for different target audiences and different media representation. It a publishers for many famous magazines such as Heat Kerrang! Zoo and many more.

Ipc media is the largest publishing media company in the UK publishing magazines such as NME and Look. IPC media publish over 60 iconic magazines read by 2/3’s of the woman’s target audience and 42% of men’s, with the website reaching a staggering 14 million users a month. The woman’s magazines include luxury, fashion, essentials and home interests so it is easy to see why it attracts 2/3’s of Britain’s female readers.

BBC’s magazines are a mainly published towards an older audience with more gardening and country life magazines; however they are also one of the leading publishers in the children’s market with magazines from all the various children’s shows shown on bbc1. BBC magazines also covers one of the biggest selling men’s magazines in all the publishing business known as Top Gear magazine aimed at men and teenagers being one of the highest selling magazines for that target audience.

Devlopmenthell is a much smaller publisher in comparison to the bigger publishers above only publishing smaller magazines and not being a well known publisher. It is a small publishing based in Islington and only really launched in 2009 publishing 2 monthly magazines. They started out on from the IPC media and were created to make a one off amount for the tour.

Here is how i developed my contents mock up using photoshop.

This is my magazine mock up in this cover I have edited the image to make it sharper and brighten the colour slightly I have not done much but I made the image look more appealing when I brighten and sharpen the image because it touched up certain areas. I also cropped this image to make the background look more basic but for my first time using Photoshop I feel it was a good effort.

Britney Spears Annotation:3

This image has been chosen because it wills attract a male audience to the magazine because it is a woman who is virtually naked and this would attract many men because she is seen as a sexual object or icon to men. It also is used to show that Britney is now single and that she is looking for a new man which would make many men think that they could be the next man making them get the magazine to make them think it can be them. The use of black and white is used to focus everything else on her body and to blend in with the background appearing that she is wearing fewer clothes than she actually is.

The image has been cropped to emphasize her body greatly it is all directed towards her upper and lower body to attract men and to see her as a sexual icon. The image is purely designed and cropped to show off her bodily assets to make her seem like she has no flaws and that her body is perfect and makes all men want her and desire to look at it by buying the magazine.

Britney is engaging a sexual relationship with the audience and wants to audience to see her as a sexy young woman who is alone and wants a man. She wants the male to look at her and be attracted to gain attention of a male after being through a break up and wants a new man for a new high and a new relationship almost emplacing false hope into the male thinking that they can be a new boyfriend. The text around the picture makes men know that she wants another relationship and that she is lonely and wants someone to comfort her at night she uses the picture to almost advertise her body to the male audience who by this magazine.

Britney Spears Annotation:2

The image has been cropped to an extreme close up of her face to show the sadness and depression on her face to fit with the subheading of tragedy. The whole cover is used to emphasize the sadness of Britney making you want to read it to find out what the problem is.

Britney’s facial expression in this image is very sad and depressing, this makes her look like she wants to indulge into conversation and makes the reader feel as if she is directly talking to you and makes you feel like you are a friend o hers.

There is no real setting the cover it's just Britney looking at the reader this makes them feel like she addressing them and makes them want to talk to her. This is because they feel like she is addressing them directly and makes the reader feel important.

The lighting in this image is on her face but more certain parts of her face that show emotion such as her eyes her mouth and her cheeks. This because these parts of the face are the main parts that show sadness or depression on your face showing her need for comfort.

The colours on the cover give a real sense of sadness and depression on her by being in grey black and white because it makes her look dull and upset making the reader want to find out what is wrong. This whole cover is based on a power-play of her facial expression being sad and making her appear in need of a friend.

The image has been taken at a medium long shot angle. The image has been taken to make her body seem like a sexual object to attract the attention of men and lesbians to the site of her body.

The clothes that Britney are wearing suggest that she is a sexual object/icon for men all over the world and this is how they want to see her to get their attentions.

The image presented has used a toy in this particular image to give her a younger look to imply the sexual fantasy she is a younger woman which all men enjoy to view. This also represents her innocents at this young age attracting men to pray on her innocents to make them feel sexually empowered, this increases the sales of the magazine to men.

The background has been shown almost as a bed sheet to imply she is bed ready. She is also lying on the bed with a phone with somewhat of a kinky look on her face to give the false intention she is perhaps on a sex chat line to again show a power play on sexual objection.

In this image some intertextual references are used relating to innocents by using the telletubby's toy and the phone to imply she is on a sex chat line. The whole image is based on a sexual power-play that appeals to men by using Britney's sexual dominance appearance.

Mainly dark purple, white and black have been used in this image because they often represent sexual colours and follow the power-play on sexual dominance. By also using such a deep purple it will stand out on a magazine shelf making it eye catching and appealing to the eye to make it noticeable.
